Sessionlink Pro - Instructions for Participants

How is SessionLink Pro connected?

SessionLink Pro is software that establishes a video & audio connection between the studio and up to 3 participants through the Google Chrome internet browser.

The participant receives

• The video, identical to what is shown to the actor (with countdown, take number, TC, text)
• The audio output of the director as monitored by the recording sound engineer
• Additionally, the sum of all talkback microphones
• MIDI Timecode (MTC) to synchronize e.g. two ProTools systems

The participant sends

• Speaking by pressing the space bar (push-to-talk).
• This signal ends up on speakers in the studio
• and with all other participants of the SessionLink Pro session
  • Requirement: Use Chrome internet browser https://www.google.com/intl/de/chrome/
  • Headset to minimize feedback/echoes

Connecting

• Open participant link with Chrome
• Check audio settings (Input Device = Headset/Microphone; Output Device = Headphones)
• Enter name and PIN 1 2 3 4 5
• Press start
• The connection is then established on the studio side

Settings

• Check the AEC box to suppress unwanted echoes
• Press the Mute Input button to activate "push to talk." This makes the space bar the talkback button
